Neil Armstrong

Neil Armstrong was born in Wapakoneta Ohio in 1930. Armstrong joined the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics ( NACA), once he was there he worked as engineer, test pilot astronaut and administrator for the NACA. At the beginning of 1949 Neil served as pilot in the U.S.A Navy and he fought in the Korean Warin 1950. Later on he joined the astronaut training program in 1962 and for 1966 Armstrong was assigned to his first mission where he served as command pilot on Gemini 8, in which the primary mission objectives were to do four previous tests with an small vehicle before they make their final ExtraVehicular Activity experiment. Al though he became one of the famous names in history when he walked on the moon on July 20 when the spacecraft Apollo 11 reached the space, he did not stay on the space program and decided tohe spent seven years as a professor of aerospace engineering at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
